Visual storyteller Christopher T. Assaf lives in Salisbury, Md., on the Delmarva Eastern Shore. He works throughout Washington, D.C. and Baltimore; Delaware, Virginia, and the Delmarva Peninsula; as well as Philadelphia and parts of Pennsylvania. He is an experienced photojournalist, photography--sports, portrait, lifestyle, magazine, corporate, pet, commercial & wedding. He is an award-winning video editor and cinematographer.
A salwater cowboy leads a pony separated from the heard to make the swim across the channel from Assateague Island to Chincoteague Island. On the last Wednesday of July, the tradition of swimming the wild Chincoteague ponies takes place, as memorialized in the 1947 book "Misty of Chincoteague" by Marguerite Henry.
